THE PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Foundation is to carry out and support, in France and abroad, all projects of general interest and non-profit of a social, family, environmental, educational, and humanitarian nature, in favor of literacy, education, and protection of children (especially young girls) in a situation of great precariousness, distress and misery, sick or mistreated.

OUR MISSION :

Our mission is to help women-founded charity organizations raise money for specific projects to ensure the education and protection of children worldwide. We create a specific project with them based on their priorities.

To raise the funds needed for the projects, we organize different art events, such as photo exhibitions, and art auctions, throughout the year. More than 40 International artists generously donate their artworks to help us raise funds.

These statements are the core beliefs of several of the charities we support and strongly reflect our ethos.

How it all started

The base for A WISH FOR HUMANITY started during a 4 years stay in Papua New Guinea from 2011-15.

I had the chance to create and support several schools for the local children and ensure certificated teacher training for local women to run the schools.

Awareness programs against sexual violence were set up for women. And it clearly showed, that the women who had participated in our sessions, experienced far less violence at home and they were able to protect their children much better. 

It showed me the power of education and empowerment in all its forms and how it changed the lives of both women and children

Lisbeth Monéton,

Founder, President and daily leader

Lisbeth has 25 years of experience owning fashion companies in Denmark, France, and the USA. 

Lisbeth had the opportunity to create as well as support English-speaking schools, and conducted awareness programs for women during a 4 years stay in Papua New Guinea. Learn more about these experiences: https://awishforhumanity.org/lisbeth-moneton/

She is now working as an artistic painter and photographer and selling her art for A WISH FOR HUMANITY.

Pierre Monéton

Founder and Treasurer

Pierre has a long career as CEO of several multinational industrial companies. 

Pierre has worked in many different countries; the USA, China, Ecuador, France, Switzerland, Papua New Guinea, and Denmark.

Now Pierre is the Director of Real Estate Companies.

Hobbies include travel to exotic places and motorbiking.  Mountain hiking with a climb of Kilimanjaro in 2015, and a climb to Base Camp 2 on Mount Everest in 2022.

A WISH FOR HUMANITY is a French registered Foundation (Fonds de Dotation, SIRET NO. 908 030 893  00014). 

All cash donations for the benefit of A WISH FOR HUMANITY give rise to a tax reduction for taxpayers domiciled in France up to 66% of the sums spent.

TAX DEDUCTIONS ( for French Tax Residents)

 

Article 200 of the CGI – Donations made by individuals :
are entitled to a reduction in personal income tax equal to 66% of their amount sums (taken within the limit of 20% of taxable income) which correspond to donations and payments (in cash but also to donations in nature of movable property or shares for example, including the express abandonment of income or products) made by taxpayers domiciled in France.
When the limit of 20% of taxable income is exceeded during the financial year, the excess payment gives rise to a tax reduction for the following five years.

Article 238 bis of the CGI – Donations made by companies :
Since January 1, 2020, companies have benefited from a reduction in income tax equal to 60% of donations, the latter being taken into account within the limit of € 20,000 or 5 per thousand of turnover when this amount is higher (article 238 bis of the CGI). For your information, companies that make more than € 10,000 in donations and payments during a financial year giving rise to the right to the tax reduction provided for in this same article, must declare to the tax authorities:

– the amount and date of these donations and payments,
– the identity of the beneficiaries as well as, if applicable,
– the value of goods and services received, directly or indirectly, in return if applicable.
