Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

How can I as an artist donate artwork?

We welcome all donations of photographs We have decided to concentrate only on photographic artworks. However, we chose which ones will be sold through our Art Shop or at Art Events.

Please send a mail with a photo of your artwork, a description of it, and a short bio about yourself to: lisbeth@awishforhumanity.org. Lisbeth will then contact you regarding further information.

Do I need to be a registered artist to donate artwork? And do I have to declare my donation somewhere?

You don’t have to be an established artist. We have many emerging artists who generously donate. We give you a receipt for your donation, but it’s up to you if you want to declare your donation to the authorities.

Can I send you a file of my photography and you’ll print it yourself?

Yes, that is how we work with several photographers. In this case, we will ask for permission to make several copies in order to raise as much money as possible for the organizations we support.

We will need a Jpg or Tiff file from you. A WISH FOR HUMANITY will then after your recommendations, print the size and on the medium you prefer. We will then deduct the production costs from the sales price.

I’m a collector. Can I donate an artwork from my private collection to A WISH FOR HUMANITY  to be sold in the Art Shop?

Yes, we accept all photographic donations. However, we decide if the Artwork will be presented in the Art Shop or if it will be reserved for a physical Event.

Please send an email to: lisbeth@awishforhumanity.org with a photo and a description of the artwork and Lisbeth will contact you for further information.

How many percent of the sale goes to organizations?

85% of the sales will go to the organizations. A WISH FOR HUMANITY will keep 15% for fundraising and administrative costs ( website, events, brochures, etc).

In the case that we take care of the printing of a photograph, the printing cost will be deducted from the sales price before being distributed to the organizations.

BUYING ART :

Are the artworks originals?

All paintings donated by an artist are originals The artist provides a certificate with his / her signature.

Artworks donated by collectors can be either or and don’t always come with a certificate.

Is the image on the site an accurate representation of the artwork?

The image is an accurate depiction of the artwork, but it has no contract value. We can send you additional images on request.

If the artwork you ordered is not what you expected, we are incredibly sorry. You have 14 days to return the work after its delivery.

What are the accepted methods of payment?

We accept all credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, etc.), Paypal, and bank transfers.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY:

How are the artworks packaged?

The works are packaged by the artist and follow a standardized packaging process. We confirm the packaging with the artist before shipping and take care to make sure the work is properly protected.

How long does delivery take?

After the payment has been processed, delivery takes 1-3 weeks on average, which leaves time for packaging and shipping. This may vary depending on the artist’s availability and the distance between the artist’s studio and your home. Whatever happens, we will keep you updated.

Who takes care of the delivery?

Depending on the destination and the size of the work, we use delivery companies such as DHL or UPS, or specialist art delivery companies.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver everywhere, or in any case all countries that our delivery companies operate in! Any concerns? Do not hesitate to contact us, as we will be able to find a delivery solution – even if you live on a desert island!

Is the delivery of the artwork insured?

Absolutely!  A WISH FOR HUMANITY organizes and ensures the transport of the artwork. You have nothing to worry about and there are no hidden costs.

Insurance is calculated in the Shipping price, which is currently 10% of the artwork’s value.

Can I return the artwork if I’m not satisfied?

Yes, according to the law, you have 14 days to return the artwork.

You have to notify A WISH FOR HUMANITY by mail to: lisbeth@awishforhumanity.org within the 7 days after the reception. The artwork has to be returned in its original packing and its original state. You will be reimbursed within 30 days.

Who pays for the return?

As every euro we collect goes to fundraising, we ask the customer to pay for the return him/herself.

However, if the artwork was damaged upon arrival, A WISH FOR HUMANITY will take full responsibility for the return.
