Description
Photographer: Corinna Scheil, Germany
Trained as a textile technician and educator; about 19 years ago I retired into private life.
As a “family manager” in new German terms, the traces of my creativity can actually be found mainly in our garden. Thorn bushes and weeds had to give way to a versatile, lovingly tended kitchen and ornamental garden, which I have created in the 14 years we have now lived here.
At first, photography was really only my husband’s hobby and my points of contact were limited to judging his pictures (and criticizing his perspective 😉).
My personal interest was sparked by a project we started together with friends: One photo every day for a year. No matter what or with what technology or camera. Just one photo a day.
The daily hunt for an interesting photo fired my imagination. I began to partially stage my photos and create situations that made me think. And the best thing was that I didn’t have to bore myself with technical details of photography.
The project was a lot of fun for all of us and I am sure there will be a sequel to it.
